Gustave Caillebotte: Boaters Rowing on the Yerres (c.1877) Impressionist Masterpiece – Hand-Painted Oil Reproduction by Dafen Village Studio

Painted around 1877 at his family’s summer estate south of Paris, Boaters Rowing on the Yerres (Les Périssoires) showcases Caillebotte’s fascination with modern outdoor leisure and water sports. The painting depicts rowers in sleek skiffs gliding across the calm, tree-fringed Yerres River. Caillebotte masterfully contrasts the bold, geometric diagonals of the canoes and oars with the dappled, rhythmic reflections on the water’s surface, perfectly capturing the breezy, sun-drenched atmosphere of late 19th-century French country life.
