Joaquín Sorolla – Femmes marchant sur la plage | Reproduction d'une peinture à l'huile réalisée à la main

About the Masterpiece

Painted in 1909, Women Walking on the Beach is one of Joaquín Sorolla’s most celebrated and beloved compositions. The artwork portrays Sorolla’s wife, Clotilde, and his eldest daughter, María, walking gracefully along the shoreline. Bathed in the dazzling, multi-colored light of the midday sun, the canvas is a masterclass in capturing movement: the translucent white muslins, fluttering veils, and the angled parasol interact dynamically with the ocean breeze and the deep, rich violet shadows cast on the golden sand. It stands as a pinnacle of Sorolla’s legacy as the unrivaled “Painter of Sunlight.”

L'excellence artisanale du village de peinture à l'huile de Dafen

We reject flat, mass-produced digital canvas prints. Every oil painting in our studio is meticulously painted by hand by veteran professional artists in Village de Dafen:

• Traditional Oil Glazes: Multi-layered glaze application creates authentic physical brush textures, rich highlights, and deep chromatic luminosity that age gracefully over time.

• Toile de lin de qualité musée: Painted on heavy, archival-quality natural linen canvas to guarantee structural durability and prevent sagging or cracking.

• Meticulous Detailing: Every subtle color transition in the shimmering sea, wind-blown fabric, and sunlit skin tones is executed with rigorous attention to the original masterwork’s brush dynamics.
