Painted in 1911 during the peak of the French Cubist explosion, Robert Delaunay’s Eiffel Tower stands as a definitive milestone of Orphism—a movement celebrated for bringing vibrant color, rhythm, and optical light to geometric abstraction. Rather than presenting a static architectural study, Delaunay portrayed the iconic landmark exploding into light and movement, surrounded by fractured urban structures and dynamic atmosphere. Currently housed in the prestigious Staatliche Kunsthalle Karlsruhe, Germany, this masterpiece captures modern Paris’s industrial optimism and rhythmic energy.
