Qiu Junbin, a leading mid-generation oil painter, has spent twenty years growing his artistic career in Dafen Oil Painting Village, one of the world’s most famous art hubs. Born in 1976, he is now known for his strong original style—over 70% of his work is original art, not reproduction.

His signature piece, “Building Dreams ”, was selected for the 2nd Shenzhen International Oil Painting Biennale in 2020. The work captures the upward vision and dynamic energy of Shenzhen, reflecting the spirit of modern China and the dreams of its people.

Qiu is a member of the Jiangxi Artists Association, Shenzhen Artists Association, Shenzhen Young Artists Association, and a council member of the Dafen Artists Association. Many of his works have been exhibited nationally and collected by major institutions, including the National Art Museum of China.
Inspired by everyday life, Qiu transforms ordinary scenes into powerful visual narratives. His “Story of Time” series honors the hardworking spirit of older generations and earned national recognition. Works like “Morning Light of Dafen,” “Re-Start: Dreaming of Pengcheng,” and “The Chinese Dream of Our Era” further showcase his deep love for Shenzhen and contemporary China.

Growing within the vibrant artistic ecosystem of Dafen, Qiu Junbin represents a new generation of Chinese painters who move beyond imitation—using originality, passion, and cultural confidence to build their dreams.
