Joaquín Sorolla – Contraluz. Frau beim Gießen (1900) | Handgemalte Ölgemälde-Reproduktion | Dafen Studio

Painted around 1900, Contraluz. Mujer regando (Backlit: Woman Watering) exemplifies Joaquín Sorolla (1863–1923) at the peak of his technical innovation. Famed worldwide as the ultimate “Master of Light,” Sorolla frequently turned his eye to private garden settings, capturing the fleeting effects of sunlight filtering through leaves and the glittering spray of water. By painting contraluz (against the light), he transforms an everyday domestic moment into a breathtaking symphony of shimmering luminosity and vibrant color harmony.
