Hand-Painted Oil Painting Reproduction “Fallen Angel” by Alexandre Cabanel – Dafen Village Studio

Created in 1868 at the height of Cabanel’s fame, Alexandre Cabanel’s Ángel caído (L’Ange Déchu) stands as one of the most celebrated and psychologically compelling works of 19th-century French Academic art. Depicting Lucifer immediately following his expulsion from Heaven, the fallen archangel lies curled on the ground with wings folded behind him, hiding his face behind his muscular arm while a single glistening tear streams from his burning, defiant eye. The composition balances Romantic emotional fire with pristine classical anatomical modeling. The original masterpiece resides in a Colección privada.

Recreated by senior master figure painters at Estudio de pintura al óleo de la aldea de Dafen, this reproduction is executed strictly by hand on heavy-duty linen canvas. We never employ digital printing, canvas overlays, or mechanical shortcuts. Utilizing classical academic techniques—including charcoal underdrawing, dramatic chiaroscuro modeling, and multi-pass oil glazing—our artists faithfully capture the piercing emotional gaze, soft flesh tones, feathered wing textures, and intense atmosphere of Cabanel’s iconic original canvas.
