Joaquín Sorolla – Note of Jávea (Alicante) | Hand-Painted Oil Painting Reproduction | Dafen Studio

For Joaquín Sorolla (1863–1923), quick oil sketches or “notes” (apuntes) on cardboard or small panels were essential tools to capture the ephemeral magic of shifting daylight. Painted during his transformative trips to Jávea on the Alicante coast, Note of Jávea exemplifies his genius for distilling vast landscapes and intense coastal illumination into compact, highly expressive compositions. These spontaneous studies showcase the purest form of Sorolla’s impressionist vision, relying on energetic brush marks and vivid chromatic contrasts.
