Joaquín Sorolla – Retrato de S.A.R. el Príncipe de Asturias, 1907 | Hand-Painted Oil Painting Reproduction | Dafen Studio

Painted in 1907 during a peak period of his career, renowned Spanish master Joaquín Sorolla (1863–1923) created sensitive and luminous studies of the Spanish royal family, including young Alfonso de Borbón y Battenberg, Prince of Asturias (the eldest son of King Alfonso XIII). While internationally famous as the “Master of Sunlight” for his vibrant Mediterranean beach scenes, Sorolla was also an elite portraitist. In this delicate study, he expertly balances official courtly grace with an intimate, glowing tenderness, rendering fine fabrics, soft infant features, and gentle interior illumination with extraordinary mastery.
