Pieter Claesz – Still Life with a Turkey Pie (1627) Baroque – Hand-Painted Oil Reproduction by Dafen Village Studio

Painted in 1627 and permanently housed in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, Pieter Claesz’s Still Life with a Turkey Pie is one of the most celebrated banquet pieces (Banketje) of the Dutch Golden Age. Spanning an expansive $132\text{ cm}$ horizontal canvas, the artwork displays a lavish table set with exotic culinary luxuries: a grand pie decorated with a preserved turkey, freshly opened oysters, a peeled lemon, nautilus cup, silver platters, and fine roemer glassware. Claesz balances luxurious abundance with harmonious light, color, and masterful surface textures.
